Adjacent to Loop 101/Price Freeway, Club Cancun apartments make it convenient to travel around the region. The apartments are 10.5 miles from ASU, and you can cover that distance in a quick 14- to 20-minute drive on Loop 101. If you’re beginning your commute during the typical morning rush hours, you can avoid Loop 101’s morning traffic by using surface streets. The non-freeway commute takes you north on Federal Street, west on Ray Road and north on Kyrene Road. Then, it’s a curve east onto Southern Avenue and a turn north onto Mill Avenue for access to all of ASU’s western buildings.
Valley Metro transit system is an excellent alternative to driving to the university. The fastest and simplest bus route to campus uses Route 72 buses. You can pick up a Route 72 bus by walking about 13 minutes to the Chandler and Country Club bus stop. You’ll have a 35-minute ride to campus and your pick of several university-area stops. The bus stops first near the eastern side of campus by Sonora Residential College, then near ASU’s SkySpace. Next is a stop in the heart of campus by Palo Verde halls, then it’s a stop on the western side of campus a block from Plummer Aquatic Complex. The final university-area stop is at Tempe Transportation Center, a few steps from Sun Devil Stadium.
