If you’re looking for a quick commute to ASU, Coral Point Apartments is an excellent solution. Four miles east of the university, the apartments offer a straight-line drive to ASU along Main Street/Apache Boulevard. The street runs the length of ASU’s southern portion of campus, accessing campus sites such as Sun Devil Fitness Complex and Gammage Memorial Auditorium. The drive takes 10 minutes in light traffic, but can lengthen to 18 minutes during busy traffic hours.
While driving to campus is convenient, parking on campus is pricey. You can avoid these extra costs by opting to use Valley Metro’s light rail system. The Price-101 Freeway/Apache Boulevard light rail station is just down the street from your apartment. You can walk to the station in about 20 minutes, but you can also drive there and park for free. Once you board a light rail train, your commute takes only nine minutes to reach the University and Rural Road station near Tyler Street and ASU’s SkySpace. If you’re going to northern areas of campus such as Brickyard Engineering, Sun Devil Stadium and Desert Arboretum Park, stay on the train another two minutes to disembark at Tempe Transportation Center/Veteran’s Way and College Avenue.
Walking and biking to campus are also excellent options. The walk down Main Street/Apache Boulevard takes about an hour. Once you’re on campus, you can give your feet a rest and hop on a free ASU FLASH shuttle to your campus destination. Riding your bike to the university only takes about 16 minutes traveling along Main Street/Apache Boulevard.
