Falcon Glen is nearly 12 miles east of ASU, and driving between the two sites along University Drive takes approximately 25 to 40 minutes. Occasionally, you may save a few minutes driving the bulk of the distance on the Superstition Freeway or on Loop 202. During rush hours, though, those routes usually do not save you time.
For a hassle-free alternative to commuting by car, you may prefer using Valley Metro’s highly regarded transit system. To take one of the quickest routes, walk to Bus Stop #12142 at University Drive and Norfolk. It’s a three-minute walk from your apartment. You’ll board a westbound Route 30 bus that eventually delivers you to the center of ASU’s campus. The trip takes about 50 minutes and makes three university-area stops along University Drive.
If you prefer the light rail system, you can walk about 14 minutes to the Main LINK bus stop at Main Street and Greenfield. The LINK bus ride is approximately 12 minutes, then you’ll transfer to a westbound light rail train at Mesa Drive and Main Street. The train ride takes about 24 minutes to the Veteran’s Way and College Avenue light rail station, also known as the Tempe Transportation Center. This stop is close to Wells Fargo Arena, Sun Devil Stadium and downtown Tempe attractions.
All of life’s necessities and a few indulgences are in close range of Falcon Glen apartments. Your apartment is next door to a Subway sandwich shop and across University Avenue from a Chevron station. The next block over, you’ll find shops and eateries at Greenfield Plaza, including Goodwill, Viper Hobbies and Red Mountain Cafe. To the south along Main Street, you enjoy more stores and services, from Fry’s Marketplace and Chase Bank to Big O Tires and Taco Bell. Six blocks to the west, Albertson’s, McDonald’s, CVS and Hot Pepper Yoga provide additional amenities. You also have quick access to nice neighborhood parks like Valencia and Vista Monterey parks.
