About Mountain Vista Apartments

Mountain Vista Apartments

The Mountain Vista Apartments are located on East Roeser Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Positioned less than 10 miles west of the Arizona State University Tempe campus and approximately four miles south of downtown Phoenix, this is a central location that gives you easy access to I-10 and I-17.

The commute downtown takes less than 15 minutes without traffic if you take Central Avenue north, but the route to ASU is a bit more complex. The fastest option starts on I-17 South and requires you to exit onto the AZ-202 loop going east. Get off at the Scottsdale Road exit and continue south until you cross Tempe Town Lake and enter the northern edge of campus. You can also take I-10 East to the western edge of campus for a more direct route that takes just a minute or two longer.

If you want to stay off the highway, take North 7th Street to East Broadway, and then travel west to South 32nd Street. Go north on 32nd until it turns into University Drive and takes you to the western edge of campus. Regardless of which route you take, you can reach ASU within 20 minutes by car without traffic.

Transportation

It takes about an hour to bike to campus from this area of Phoenix, and the walk is nearly three hours. If you don’t have personal transportation, expect to spend approximately one hour traveling to the edge of campus on the Valley Metro public bus.

The closest bus station is right by the apartments at the corner of Roeser Road and 4th Street. You can board an eastbound bus on Roeser heading toward 48th Street and exit at 32nd Street. Board a route 30 bus headed east on University toward Price, getting off near the western edge of campus at the Maple Avenue stop. From there, you can walk just a few minutes to enter campus.

Things Nearby

The Mountain Vista Apartments are surrounded by public parks and golf courses. You can enter South Mountain Park on South Central, approximately four miles south of the apartments. This is a large park that allows you to hike and enjoy time in the mountains. Legacy Golf Resort, Raven Golf Club and Aguila Golf Course are nearby as well as Diablo Stadium and Arizona Mills Mall.
