Salado Springs Apartments

If you start at the northwestern corner of the Arizona State University campus in Tempe and head west, you’ll find the Salado Springs Apartments on South Beck Avenue in less than two miles. You can drive to the edge of campus in approximately five minute without traffic from this location, and downtown Phoenix is less than a 20-minute drive away in light traffic.

The fastest way to reach the ASU campus is to take West 1st Street to Rio Salado Parkway, turning south on Priest Drive to reach West University Drive. Traveling east on University will take you directly into the western edge of campus near the design buildings and Tower Center. This road will take you directly through campus, allowing you to turn south toward the academic buildings or north toward the sports arenas and aquatic complex.

Transportation

You can walk to the western edge of the ASU campus from the Salado Springs Apartments in approximately 30 minutes if you take West 5th Street or West 1st Street. The bike ride will take about 10 minutes, and you should plan to spend a little more time walking or biking your way to your final campus destination.

If you prefer to use public transportation, it will take you about 20 minutes to reach the western region of campus by bus. There are several bus routes offering a direct ride, including route 48 departing from the stop near Rio Salado Parkway and Priest Drive, route 62 departing from 1st Street and Hardy Drive, and the Venus Flash Forward bus departing from the intersection of 5th Street and Priest.

All of these buses stop near the transit center in the northwest corner of campus. If you want to explore Tempe, Phoenix and surrounding communities in your free time, you can board the light rail from this transit center and travel northwest or southeast of the university.

The Salado Springs apartment complex is less than a mile from the Tempe Center for the Arts, which is a popular area to walk and enjoy live entertainment along Tempe Town Lake.
