San Marbeya apartments on East Broadway are a convenient two miles from ASU. A commute to ASU sites such as Sun Devil Fitness Complex and parking structures near the Law Library and Armstrong Hall takes about five minutes. If you love to walk, the stroll to the southern edge of campus is easily accomplished in 35 minutes.

Cycling is one of the most popular ways to get around this part of town, and your bicycle commute to ASU is a quick 9 to 10 minutes. If you don’t mind winding your way through surrounding neighborhoods, you’ll enjoy the quickest bicycle route. You’ll travel west on East Broadway, north on South Dorsey, west on Vista del Cerro and north on South Rural Road. The southwestern corner of campus is at South Rural and Apache Boulevard. If you prefer more direct routes, travel west on East Broadway and then head north on South College; you’ll arrive at campus between the Apache Parking Structure and Hayden residence halls.

Public transportation options to campus and around town are many. If you’re heading to the central area of campus, hop on the free neighborhood circulator shuttle, the Orbit Mars. The Mars shuttle picks you up at the Dorsey and Broadway bus stop, or you can flag it down anywhere along Dorsey or Vista del Cerro. The shuttle takes you to the University Rural light rail station, near the Biodesign Institute and psychology buildings. There is also a FLASH Forward shuttle stop nearby for quick transport to other areas of campus.

Things Nearby

Shopping for life’s necessities is a breeze from San Marbeya. Safeway and Staples are less than a mile west of the apartments, and Dunkin’ Donuts and Dollar Tree are just a block south. Within a block-and-a-half, you’ll find Ted’s Hot Dogs, Chevron, Burger King, Joe’s Italian Ice, the UPS Store and sushi, Thai, Indian and pho restaurants. Recreation is easily accessible, too, with Selleh Park less than a mile southeast of the apartments.
