The Moorings At Mesa Cove apartments are eight miles northeast of ASU, and they’re conveniently located near Country Club Boulevard/Highway 87 and Loop 202. Cycling to the university campus is probably the best way to commute to ASU, taking 37 to 40 minutes using surface streets. The simplest route will lead you west on Mesa Cove Boulevard, south on Mesa Drive and west on Brown Road through its curve into North Date Road. From there, you’ll follow Rio Salado Parkway, which leads you directly to the northeastern part of campus and sites such as Packard Baseball Stadium.
Driving to campus using Loop 202 is a quick 14-minute drive, but parking on campus can be expensive. If you prefer a less exerting commute than cycling, you’re better off using public transportation. The easiest bus transport requires one transfer. You’ll begin by walking three blocks south to the Downtown BUZZ shuttle stop at Main Street and Centennial Way. After a seven-minute ride on BUZZ, you’ll disembark at Center and 5th streets and walk half a block to the westbound Route 30 bus stop at University and Center. It’s a 36-minute ride to campus on Route 30.
You can also bike or drive to the light rail train station at Mesa Drive and Main Street to catch a 22-minute train ride to campus. Trains stop at two stations near campus. The first stop is near ASU’s Skyspace at the University and Rural Road station, and the second stop is at the Veteran’s Way and College Avenue station near Sun Devil Stadium.
Walgreen’s and Dollar General are about five blocks from The Moorings At Mesa Cove, and there are also a variety of restaurants in the same vicinity. Another block south, you’ll find additional conveniences such as CVS, Maya New York Pizza, a cash-advance store, a nail salon and Wells Fargo ATM. The apartment complex is about a mile from Hohokam Stadium and less than six miles from the dozens of stores and restaurants at Tempe Marketplace.
