The Nines Apartment Homes
The Nines Apartment Homes are located on East Baseline Road, approximately three miles south from the southern tip of the Arizona State University Tempe campus. If you need to commute to other areas of Tempe or take frequent road trips, this apartment complex is also about a mile south of Superstition Freeway and approximately seven miles east of Maricopa Freeway.
The most direct route to the ASU campus is Rural Road. The Nines Apartments are close to the intersection of Baseline Road and Rural, so it’s a straight shot from home to school or work. In light traffic, it should take approximately 10 minutes to reach the southern edge of campus, but you will need a few more minutes to take Rural Road to the middle or northern regions.
The preferred method of transportation from this location is a personal vehicle, but you may also consider utilizing a ride-share program. There is no access to the light rail system from the apartment complex, but you can easily take the Valley Metro public bus into campus. Walk just a few minutes to the bus stop near the intersection of Baseline and Rural to board a northbound bus. If you want to use your bike while on campus, use the bicycle racks on the bus.
The Rural Road bus route travels straight through campus and continues to many destinations north of the river, including the Tempe Town Lake Marina. If you transfer to an eastbound bus at East Curry Road, you can also visit Rio Salado Park or go a little further north to have fun at the Big Surf Waterpark. All of these destinations are also easily accessed by car.
The Nines Apartment Homes will place you a short walk or drive from many restaurants and cafes, and it’s within walking distance of the Lake Country Village Shopping Center. You can enjoy outdoor recreation at the Kiwanis Park and Lake, and the apartments are close to the James Madison Preparatory School, Fees College Preparatory Middle School, Rover Elementary School, Gethsemane Lutheran School and Marcos De Niza High School.
