Verona Park apartments are surrounded by several major regional streets, and they’re close to the Superstition Freeway and Price Freeway/Loop 101. With this convenient location, it’s easy to get to most points around the metro area. The apartments are eight miles southeast of Tempe’s ASU campus, so commuting to the university is handily accomplished. If you’re commuting to the campus, the drive should take you about 15 minutes using the Superstition and Price freeways. If your commute to campus is during morning rush hour, however, plan on spending 28 to 30 minutes in your car.
Local buses and light rail trains help you avoid the hassle and cost of driving to ASU. The easiest and quickest transit mode is by light rail, the drawback is that you’ll either need to take a bus, drive your car, ride your bike or walk an hour to the light rail station. The station at Sycamore and Main Street is closest, and parking is available. The train ride to campus lasts 14 to 17 minutes, offering ASU-area stops near the Biodesign Institute and psychology building as well as Sun Devil Stadium and downtown Tempe.
The apartments’ proximity to major local roads also enables a convenient bicycle commute to the university. Most of the available routes are fairly flat and can be traveled in 39 to 40 minutes. Tempe is known for its bike-friendly nature, so you have ample access to bike services along the way and on campus.
With so many major streets and freeways close by, it’s no surprise that Verona Park apartments are surrounded by numerous stores and restaurants. Fiesta Mall is one block away, offering more than 50 stores and restaurants, including Longhorn Steakhouse, Hot Topic, Just Sports and Game Stop. Walmart, The Home Depot and Fry’s Food are two blocks east. Entertainment is convenient, too, with Golfland Sunsplash two blocks away and Fiesta Golf Course across the street. Mesa Community College and Banner Desert Medical Center are two and three blocks to the west.
