Seven miles northeast of ASU, Woodstream Village residents enjoy a convenient location near many transportation options, including Red Mountain Freeway/Loop 202. This freeway provides one of the most convenient ways to travel to the university. Its route to campus takes 14 minutes to complete, although that commute time can more than double during rush hours.
If navigating traffic isn’t your preference, you can also use public transportation to get to the university. Although you’ll save significant amounts of money on on-campus parking, public transit will cost you some time. Most routes to campus take 46 minutes to more than an hour to complete. To use the quickest transit option, hop on a BUZZ neighborhood shuttle at Center and Brown Streets, a 14-minute walk from the apartments. You’ll transfer to a light rail train at Main and Center streets, reaching the first university-area stop in 20 minutes. There, you’ll have quick access to ASU sites such as Skyspace, Biodesign Institute and classes in the psychology building and Armstrong Hall. Two to three minutes later, the train makes its final university-area stop near Sun Devil Stadium and Wells Fargo Arena.
Biking to campus takes 38 to 45 minutes along local roads that are mostly flat. The campus provides a number of bike services, and free ASU shuttles are available around campus so you can leave your bike parked while you’re on-site.
If you’re a baseball fan, Woodstream Village apartments put you in the ideal location next to Hohokam Stadium. The stadium is the site of Oakland A’s spring training facility. You’re also close to many stores and restaurants. Walgreen’s, Dollar General, Native Grill & Wings and Taco Bell are half-a-block to the south across the canal. Recreation is plentiful, too, with Park of the Canals just to the northeast of the apartments, the canal bank running alongside the apartment complex and Mesa Country Club Golf Course just a couple of blocks to the west.
