Transportation
Living in Aventerra at Dobson Ranch puts you an ideal distance from ASU and downtown Tempe. At seven-and-a-half miles from ASU, you’re close enough for a comfortable 16-minute commute to campus and far enough away to lead a quiet, suburban lifestyle. If you’ll be making the drive at rush hour, add eight minutes to your commute time.
Cycling to the university is an excellent commute choice. The shortest cycling route usually takes 38 minutes, traveling north on South Dobson and west on Southern. From Southern, the route continues onto Tempe Canal Trail to North Price Road and Apache Boulevard. Apache runs along the southern border of campus, so stay on Apache if you’re heading to places such as Gammage Auditorium and Sun Devil Fitness Complex. If your destination is in the central or northern areas of campus, South Terrace Road is a good shortcut from Apache.
Riding public transportation is also a great way to get to campus. The fastest route is a bus/train combination. Start by walking a twp minutes to the Dobson Road and Keating Avenue bus stop. Board a Route 96 bus toward Mesa Riverview and transfer to a train at the Sycamore/Main Street Light Rail Station. The train offers two university stops
