The Loop’s Exit 52 is most expedient, taking you to University Drive and the heart of ASU’s campus.

If you’re looking for a more cost-efficient alternative to driving to the university, public transportation is the best option. You’ll enjoy the fastest commute using a combination of Route 112 buses and light rail trains. To reach Bus Route 112, walk three-quarters of a mile to the bus stop at Arizona Avenue and Warner Road. Take the bus to the Country Club/Main Light Rail Station and board the train. The ride to the University/Rural Light Rail Station takes about 17 minutes and leaves you in the central area of campus. If you stay on the train for another two minutes, you reach Tempe Transportation Center at the north end of campus. There, you can access ASU sites such as Wells Fargo Arena and Plummer Aquatics Complex. This is also the stop you want if you are heading to downtown Tempe locales such as City Hall Plaza.
