Located near the Superstition Freeway and the east side of Loop 101, Country Park Villas is convenient to ASU and other important sites around the county. Driving to the university is an easy 13-minute commute in light traffic, but that commute time can increase to 30 minutes when traffic is heavy. Traveling west on the Superstition Freeway and north on Rural Road is one of the simplest driving routes, leading you directly to the east side of campus and spots such as SkySpace, Campus Children’s Center and Whiteman Tennis Center.
Cycling to the university is also convenient, taking about 36 minutes to ride north on South Ext Road and west on Main Street/Apache Boulevard. Using this route, you’ll reach the southeast corner of campus first.
Valley Metro’s transit system offers you an excellent alternative to driving and biking to ASU. The fastest of these options is a combination of the LINK bus and the light rail train. You can catch the Arizona Avenue LINK bus by walking to the stop at Country Club and Southern Avenue. It’s a six-minute walk. You’ll transfer to the train at the Country Club and Main Street light rail station. You have your pick of two university-area train stops. One is at the University and Rural Road station, near the Tyler Street Parking Structure and the Biodesign Institute buildings. The second is at the Veteran’s Way and College Avenue light rail station. This stop is near Wells Fargo Arena, Plummer Aquatic Complex, Sun Devil Stadium and Desert Arboretum Park.
At County Park Villas, you’re across the street from Arizona Event Center, a western wear shop, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Chase Bank and a dry cleaning service. North, across Southern Avenue, there are even more shops, services and restaurants such as a beauty supply store, Pizza Hut, Denny’s, a tire store and a Shell gas station. In fact, the adjacent corridors along the Superstition Freeway and Loop 101 offer nearly every restaurant, store and convenience you can imagine.
