Genoa Lakes Apartments
You’ll find the Genoa Lakes apartment complex approximately nine miles from the eastern edge of the Arizona State University Tempe campus. The community is located directly on East University Drive, so residents enjoy an easy commute to the university. If you choose to make this your home, you will simply drive westbound on University until you enter campus. This road cuts straight through campus, so you can reach all buildings in less than a half hour in light traffic.
This apartment complex is also located within a short drive of AZ-202, AZ-101 and Superstition Freeway. If you regularly commute to other areas of the state or enjoy driving to a variety of outdoor recreation areas, you will find it easy to get around from this central location. Though the address is in Mesa, all areas of Tempe are a short drive away.
While you can drive from the Genoa Lakes Apartments to the eastern border of ASU in approximately 10 minutes without traffic, it can take more than an hour to reach the same location by bus. There are local bus stops along University Drive as well as on most side streets in the area, but many residents still own personal vehicles in order to reach the campus faster.
If you prefer to use the Valley Metro busing system to explore your local area, find any bus stop on University Drive and take a route 30 bus. This route will take you straight through campus if you go west, allowing you to visit many restaurants, shopping centers and parks on the other side of the university campus. The route also extends for miles to the east, and you can connect to bus routes running north and south to reach any destination in Tempe or Mesa.
While these apartments are slightly removed from campus, they’re still close enough to benefit from a variety of restaurants and bars serving the university community. Whether you walk, drive or ride the bus, you can head out in any direction from the apartments to find shopping and dining opportunities. For instance, the Superstition Springs Center, Alta Mesa Golf Club, Red Mountain District Park and Hohokam Stadium are all a short drive away.
