About Hayden Park

Hayden Park Apartments

The Hayden Park Apartments are located less than five miles north of the Arizona State University Tempe campus, but they have a Scottsdale, Arizona, address. The most direct route to campus is southbound on North Hayden Road. The street name will change to North McClintock Drive after you cross over Tempe Town Lake, also known as the Salt River. Turn left on University Drive to enter the eastern side of campus.

If you prefer to enter campus from the north, you can take East Thomas Road to the AZ-101 loop going south. Get off at North Scottsdale Road and go straight until you enter campus. This is the best route if you’re headed to the Wells Fargo Arena for an event or one of the university ball fields. This is also convenient for athletes, band members and coaches who may spend a lot of time at the northern practice fields.

For those often traveling outside of the Tempe area, these apartments are close to the 101 and 202 loops. These freeways will lead you out of town in any direction. The commute to downtown Phoenix is approximately 30 minutes in light traffic.

It takes over an hour to walk to the ASU campus from the Hayden Park Apartments, and public transportation can take up to an hour for a one-way trip. While many people living in this area depend on their personal vehicles to get to work or school, you can take the Valley Metro bus or light rail systems.

The closest bus stop is just a five-minute walk away on the corner of Hayden Road and Earll Drive. Bus route 81 offers frequent stops along Hayden and McClintock, so you can take a bus to many restaurants and shopping centers located north and south of the apartment community. If you want to reach ASU, you will take a southbound bus on this route and then transfer to a route 62 bus at the corner of McClintock Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.

Things Nearby

If you choose to make the Hayden Park Apartments your home, you will live just east of the Continental Golf Club, Coronado Golf Course and Eldorado Park. There are also many restaurants and service-oriented businesses within a mile of the community.
