Hohokam Villas
The Hohokam Villas are located on West Highland Street in Chandler, Arizona. This spot is eight miles south of the Arizona State University Tempe campus, so it’s a convenient apartment complex for university students and faculty members who don’t want to live directly on campus. If you choose to make the villas your home, you will have an easy commute to the university that takes no more than 15 minutes by car in light traffic.
The easiest route to the university starts on the AZ-101 loop, heading north. You get off at the North Price Road exit and turn left onto University Drive. Continue straight until you enter the eastern edge of campus. University cuts through the center of campus, so you can turn off to the north to reach the band and sports practice fields or entertainment complexes like the Wells Fargo Arena and football stadium. Most of the academic buildings are located south of University.
Transportation
It’s best to use a private vehicle to reach ASU from the Hohokam Villas because it can take more than an hour to reach the edge of campus by bus or light rail. The closest bus stop is almost a mile away on Warner Road, and you will need to transfer to a second bus or the light rail system to get to the university. It will take even longer to travel across campus to reach your final destination.
If you want to use the public busing system to explore the area immediately surrounding the apartments, you will need to walk to the corner of Warner Road and Fairfield Drive and board a route 81 bus heading in the direction of your final destination. This walk can take up to 20 minutes.
