About La Costa Apartment Homes at Dobson

La Costa Apartment Homes at Dobson

If you choose the La Costa Apartment Homes as your next home, you could live on a large golf course without a substantial commute to work or school. The community is located on the northern edge of the Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa, and it’s approximately six miles from the southeastern corner of the Arizona State University. In light traffic, it takes less than 15 minutes to drive from the apartment complex to the edge of campus.

To reach ASU, go west on Baseline Road to the AZ-101 northbound loop. Take the loop to exit 52, and then take University Drive westbound until you enter the eastern edge of campus. This is near University Center and Cornerstone Mall, but University runs straight through campus and gives you access to all academic and leisure buildings.

If you prefer to enter campus from the south where the ASU Gammage and intramural fields are located, take I-60 West and get off at the Rural Road exit. Follow Rural north until you reach your desired campus destination. Rural also leads over Tempe Town Lake to the many recreational areas north of campus.

The most efficient way to travel between ASU and the La Costa Apartment Homes is by personal car, but you can use the Valley Metro bus and light rail system to explore the area surrounding the apartment community. The closest bus stop is near the intersection of Dobson Road and Lindner Avenue, which is less than half a mile away. The closest light rail station is near Main Street and Sycamore, and you have to take a bus to get to the station.

You can expect to spend at least one hour riding to campus whether you take the bus or light rail. You start out on a northbound bus heading to Mesa Riverview, and then you either transfer to the light rail or a westbound bus to reach the edge of campus. You can either bike or walk your way around campus, and there are some Fast Forward buses that operate on university grounds.
