If you’re searching for an easy commute to the Arizona State University and immediate access to US-60 and the 101 and 202 loops, the Mission Springs Apartments on Baseline Road are worth considering. Located just four miles south of the Tempe campus, these apartments offer a 10-minute commute to the university or the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The fastest way to reach the university is to take South Hardy Drive or South Mill Avenue to University Drive. Make a right turn on University to reach all areas of campus. You’ll find the entertainment and sports complexes north of this road, including the Wells Fargo Arena and Farrington Stadium. Most of the academic buildings, including the library, are located south of University.
If you don’t have your own car, you can reach ASU in approximately 30 minutes on the public bus. You can take a northbound bus on Mill Avenue, Hardy Drive or 48th Street. You’ll arrive at the northwestern corner of campus near the transit center. From there, you can walk or bike your way to class or board a Flash Forward bus to reach most areas of campus. You can also board the light rail station from this area, allowing you to explore many areas of Tempe beyond campus.
If you prefer to travel on foot, note that it will take more than an hour to reach the Tempe ASU campus from this location. The area is suitable for biking and walking if you want to visit the restaurants and parks in the surrounding region.
The Mission Springs apartment complex is located a half mile from the Arizona Mills Mall and within three miles of the Ken McDonald Golf Course, Kiwanis Recreation Center, Benedict Sports Complex and Celaya Park. There are also a variety of restaurants and cafes in the area, including multiple Chinese restaurants and a taco shop. If you enjoy hiking, you can reach South Mountain Park in less than a half hour. This is one of the largest urban parks in North America, and there are trails available for hikers of all skill levels.
