Monterey Village Apartments
The Monterey Apartments of Phoenix are located approximately five miles northwest of the Arizona State University Tempe campus. They’re also approximately three miles north of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and less than seven miles east of downtown Phoenix. This makes the complex suitable for commuters heading into Phoenix or surrounding areas as well as students and staff members heading to ASU regularly.
It’s also a great location for anyone interested in attending events at the Wells Fargo Arena or Sun Devil Stadium on the ASU campus. For the fastest route to campus, take North 52nd Street to the 202 eastbound loop and get off at the Scottsdale Road exit. Going south on Scottsdale will take you over Tempe Town Lake and into the northern edge of campus. This road will turn into Rural once you cross over Rio Salado Parkway, and you can follow Rural straight through campus to many restaurants and parks located further south.
Transportation
It takes approximately 10 minutes to reach the northern edge of ASU in light traffic, but residents can also use the Metro Valley light rail system. It takes about an hour to reach the western edge of campus on the train, and you will need extra time to walk or take a Flash Forward bus to your final destination on campus.
The closest light rail station is almost two miles away near the intersection of 44th Street and Washington Street. Take the westbound train toward 19th Avenue and Dunlap, exiting at Washington Street and 38th Street. Board the eastbound train heading toward Main Street and Mesa Drive to reach the campus bus station at Veterans Way and College Avenue.
You can also take the light rail northwest or southeast of campus to explore entertainment and recreational facilities throughout the area. There are public buses that will also take you to most locations throughout Phoenix.
