Transportation
Living in Ovation at Tempe apartments puts you within three miles of ASU and three-and-a-half miles of downtown Tempe. The apartments’ location on South Hardy is just south of the Superstition Freeway and just east of Interstate 10. For getting around Tempe, though, surface streets are the best options. You can drive to campus in about nine minutes using South Hardy and South Mill, and bicycling takes 17 to 18 minutes. Several routes are best for cycling to campus. The most direct route is north along South Hardy. You’ll turn right on 13th Street/Apache Boulevard for southern areas of campus, or you’ll turn right on University for central parts of ASU. Biking up South Hardy to West Alameda and South Roosevelt will also get you to campus in under 20 minutes.
Public transportation is also a good choice. Route 62 buses stop just to the south of the apartment complex at Greenway and Hardy. Hop on a Route 62 bus and ride it for 19 minutes to 5th Street and Myrtle Avenue, Tempe Transportation Center. The transportation hub is near northwestern areas of campus such as Sun Devil Stadium and the aquatics center. If you need to go to more central areas of campus, hop on the free Orbit Jupiter shuttles heading south. Another option for commuting to campus is Route 65/66. You can catch these buses at Baseline and Kyrene Roads, a 13-minute walk from the apartment. You’ll ride the bus about 13 minutes to get to the southwestern edge of campus at Mill and Gammage Parkway, or you can continue on to more northern areas of campus.
