About Park Paloma

Park Paloma Apartments

The Park Paloma Apartments are located on North 46th Street in Phoenix, approximately 6.5 miles north of the Arizona State University Tempe campus. The location allows easy access to the AZ-101 Loop, AZ-202 Loop and I-10, so it’s just as convenient for commuters as students and university faculty. In light traffic, you can reach the northern edge of campus in under 15 minutes or downtown Phoenix in under 20 minutes.

For the fastest drive to the university, use North 44th Street to merge onto the 202 Loop going east. Get off at the Scottsdale Road exit and continue south until you cross Tempe Town Lake and reach the northern border of campus. This road will turn into Rural Road and continue straight through campus, so you can also use it to reach restaurants, parks and entertainment venues south of the university.

That route is best when you’re heading to the Wells Fargo Arena, Sun Devil Stadium or other entertainment complexes on the northern end of campus, but you may want to enter campus from the west when heading to the southern academic buildings. Take East Thomas Road to 48th Street, traveling south on 48th until you reach East McDowell Road. Turn right on McDowell and get into the left lane to merge onto AZ-143, otherwise known as Hohokam Expressway. Get off at University Drive and take University east until you enter campus.

It takes at least a half hour to bike from the Park Paloma Apartments to ASU, and the walk is close to three hours. If you don’t have a car, you can expect to spend up to an hour traveling to campus by bus or light rail. You can use the Valley Metro buses to reach restaurants, parks and bars in the immediate area.

The fastest route to campus starts with a half-mile walk to the bus stop near 44th Street and Thomas Road. Take a route 44 bus heading south on 44th toward Sky Train/Sky Harbor, exiting at the Washington Street stop. Go to the light rail station and board the eastbound train to reach the western edge of campus at the Veterans Way and College Avenue station.
