Rancho Las Palmas
Located less than a mile from the southeastern tip of the Arizona State University campus in Tempe, the Rancho Las Palmas apartments keep students a short walk or bike ride from all academic buildings. You can walk to the southeastern edge of campus in approximately 15 minutes, and the bike ride takes approximately five minutes. Some extra time is needed to walk or bike to university buildings further north.
To reach campus, head west on East Spence Avenue until you reach Rural Road. Go north on Rural until you branch off to reach your final campus destination. Following Rural until it turns into Scottsdale Road will take you north of Tempe Town Lake, which is one of the best areas of Tempe for outdoor recreation.
Transportation
The Rancho Las Palmas complex is so close to campus that most residents walk to the university, but the location is convenient for travel by bus or light rail. The closest light rail station is less than half a mile away near the corner of Apache Boulevard and Dorsey Lane. This is on the southern border of the ASU campus, and you can travel northwest or southeast of campus to reach many entertainment venues and restaurants throughout Tempe, Phoenix and surrounding cities. There are buses operating on most main roads surrounding the apartment complex as well, so it’s easy to reach most local destinations without private transportation.

This apartment complex rests in a quiet residential area sitting right next to Hudson Park. There are also many small parks scattered in the area surrounding Rancho Las Palmas, including Selleh Park, Alegre Park and Creamery Park. You will also find a variety of small shopping centers within easy walking and biking distance.
For nighttime enjoyment, there are many bars within a mile of the apartments, including a fun hookah bar. The area is also known for its large variety of restaurants serving an array of cuisines, including Middle Eastern, Vietnamese, Moroccan, Mexican, Pakistani and Thai.
