Transportation
Ideally located in downtown’s Farmer Arts District, the Residences on Farmer put you within walking distance of ASU, Mill Avenue/Downtown delights and Town Lake fun. You’re only a half-mile from the western edge of ASU and sites such as the College of Design; walking there takes less than 15 minutes. Bicycling to the same spot takes only three minutes using West 5th Street. If you need to get to other areas of campus, hop on ASU’s free campus-wide shuttles, FLASH Forward/FLASH Back. You can also catch one of the free neighborhood circulator shuttles, including the Orbit Mercury that runs along University Drive through campus.
There are dozens of other convenient public transportation options around town too. You can walk 11 minutes northwest to the Tempe Transportation Center, giving you access to bus routes and light rail trains that cover the entire region. If you don’t feel like walking that distance, go one block north to 5th and Forest to catch a free Orbit Venus bus to the transportation center. There, you can hop on bus Route 48 for an 11-minute ride to Tempe Marketplace shopping, board a light rail train to Sky Harbor Airport or walk next door to Sun Devil Stadium or Wells Fargo Arena.
