Transportation
San Capella apartments give you the peace of suburban living while putting you within easy commuting distance of ASU and downtown Tempe. The apartments are less than six miles from ASU’s sites like the Carey School of Business and Sun Devil Fitness Complex. Driving to this area of ASU involves a 13- to 16-minute commute. The quickest route calls for a drive north on South Kyrene, east on Southern Avenue and north on South Mill. There are several major north/south roads, though, that can get you to campus relatively quickly and easily, including College Avenue and Rural Road.
If you prefer to pedal your commute, you can bicycle to campus in about 32 minutes. The fastest route guides you north on South Hardy, west on West Grove Parkway and north on the Highline Lateral Canal Trail. Then you’ll hang a right onto Guadalupe and left back onto South Hardy. From there, it’s a pretty straight shot up Hardy before you cut over east to ASU. If you’re going to the southern area of campus, use 13th street; if you’re going to the central or north area of campus, use University Drive.
Public transportation is extremely convenient too. To catch a Valley Metro bus to ASU, walk three minutes to the Hardy Drive and Elliott Road stop. There, you’ll board a Route 65 bus that delivers you to the southwestern edge of campus in 21 minutes. If you need to go to central and north campus sites, stay on the bus and take one of the several stops closer to your destination.
