About Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa Apartments

The Santa Rosa Apartments are located east of South Mountain Park within Phoenix city limits, but the community is only 12 miles south of the Arizona State University campus in Tempe. This is a mountainous region that offers beautiful scenery, but the commute time to ASU is only 20 minutes without traffic. You can also enjoy easy access to I-10, US-60, AZ-101 and AZ-202 if you make this apartment community your next home.

For the fastest route to the ASU campus, take I-10 West to US-60 East, exiting at Rural Road. Go north on Rural until you drive into the southern region of campus. This road continues straight through campus and turns into Scottsdale just before crossing Tempe Town Lake. This is the route that you will take if you want to reach the Phoenix Zoo, the local marina or other outdoor attractions located north of the university.

Since it takes more than three hours to walk to the ASU campus from this location and the bike ride can take an hour or longer, it’s best to have private transportation when commuting from this area. If you don’t have a personal vehicle, you can use the public bus and light rail system to reach campus as well as other attractions surrounding the apartments. This trip will take approximately 90 minutes one way and will require you to make at least one transfer.

The closest bus stop is right by the apartment complex near the intersection of Chandler Boulevard and 34th Street. You want to take an eastbound ALEX bus heading toward Elliot and 51st Street. Get off at the 48th Street stop and board a route 56 bus heading north toward Scottsdale/McDowell via the District Botanical Garden. Get off at the Priest Drive and Washington Street stop and walk to the light rail station. The eastbound bus heading toward Main Street and Mesa Drive will take you to the intersection of College Avenue and Veterans Way on campus.

There are also many fast food restaurants within a mile of the apartments.
