Scottsdale Gateway Apartments
If a fast commute to the Arizona State University Tempe campus is your dream, the Scottsdale Gateway Apartments may bring that dream to life. North Scottsdale Road delivers a straight route to the northernmost border of campus, so you can reach the Sun Devil Football Stadium, Packard Baseball Stadium and the Wells Fargo Arena in less than 10 minutes without traffic. This is also where the athletic practice fields are located, so this apartment complex is convenient for student athletes and coaches.
To reach the academic and administrative buildings located in the southern half of campus, take Scottsdale Road over the Salt River and Cross East Rio Salado Parkway. The road will turn into South Rural Road, which will take you to East University Drive. This road cuts through the center of campus, so you can turn in either direction or continue straight to find your building of interest as well as many parking lots.
Transportation
While there is no light rail access point next to the Scottsdale Gateway apartment complex, you can walk one minute to the corner of McKellips Road and Scottsdale Road to catch the Valley Metro bus. This is bus route 72, and it will take you to the ASU campus and then continue south of campus along Rural Road. This allows you to visit many other Tempe attractions, including the high school, Daley Park and St. Luke’s Hospital. If you catch a northbound bus, you can visit multiple shopping centers located near McDowell Road.
Keep in mind that you can also drive onto campus or hire a ride-share service. ASU is bike-friendly, and many public buses have bike racks. You will also find cart parking spaces throughout many areas of campus.
Things Nearby
The restaurants surrounding this apartment community include every theme from vegetarian and Indian to Asian and Middle Eastern. You will also live within close proximity of many bars and sports pubs, but it’s the outdoor attractions that will steal your attention. The Desert Botanical Garden is less than three miles to the west and the Phoenix Zoo is just over three miles away. You can also reach Evelyn Hallman Park and the Rolling Hills Golf Course within 10 minutes by car. You can visit many of these attractions by bus, but it may require a transfer.
