Scottsdale Haciendas Condominiums
If you want to live off campus without suffering a long commute each morning, you may consider the Scottsdale Haciendas Condos a suitable location for your next home. These condominiums are located less than four miles north of the Arizona State University campus in Tempe, but they’re also within 13 miles of downtown Phoenix and approximately seven miles from the Sky Harbor International Airport. This central location allows you to enjoy an active lifestyle without missing the big events happening in surrounding communities.
To reach the ASU Tempe campus, drive south on Hayden Road until it turns into North McClintock Drive. Turn right on University Drive and continue straight until you reach the eastern edge of campus. You can turn north from University to visit the Wells Fargo Arena, Sun Devil Stadium or Packard Stadium. Go south from University to find the academic buildings or administrative offices.
If you want to enter campus from the north end, take the AZ-202 loop heading southbound. Get off at Scottsdale Road and go south until you cross Tempe Town Lake and enter campus. This is the best route if you’re visiting the entertainment and sports complexes located on the northern end of campus.
It takes over an hour to walk to the edge of the ASU campus from this location, and the bike ride can take up to half an hour. If you don’t have a car, you can expect to spend approximately 40 minutes traveling to campus on the Valley Metro bus or light rail.
The closest bus stop is on the westbound side of East Roosevelt Street near the North Granite Reef Road intersection. Take the SNTR neighborhood trolley heading toward Marshall and 1st Street. Get off at the 74th Street stop and walk about eight minutes to the corner of Scottsdale Road and Roosevelt Street, boarding the EARTH bus heading toward Downtown Tempe/ASU. Get off at the South Side Tempe Transit Center on campus.
There are other bus routes that will take you to the ASU campus, but they all leave you at the same transit center. If you want to venture beyond campus in your free time, you may want to take the bus to a light rail station.
