Skywater at Town Lake Apartments
Located within three blocks of University Drive, the SkyWater at Town Lake Apartments will place you within a 10-minute drive or bus ride to ASU. The recommended route begins by going westbound on West Rio Salado Parkway and then takes you south on Hardy Drive and east on University Drive. When you cross over South Mill Avenue, you will enter the Tempe campus.
From University Drive, you can go north to reach the athletic training fields as well as the Sun Devil Stadium and Wells Fargo Arena. Turning north on South Rural Road will take you to the Joe Selleh Track, the Whiteman Tennis Center and the Karsten Golf Course. Turning south from University Drive will take you to the academic and administrative buildings, including the main campus library and the law library.
An alternate route from the apartment complex to the Tempe campus takes you east on West Rio Salado Parkway, south on Ash Avenue and east on 5th Street. While the travel time is the same either way, this route is more convenient if you’re headed to the arena or one of the stadiums in the northwest corner of campus.
Transportation
While the residents of SkyWater appreciate the short drive to ASU, you can also catch a Valley Metro bus to campus. Walk to the Tempe Transit Center located at the intersection of 48th Street and Rio Salado South and take bus 48. The buses do have bike racks, so you can bring along your own wheels to get around campus.
Alternatively, catch a second bus on North Scottsdale Road and exit at a stop on South Rural Road to reach campus destinations south of University Drive. From campus, you can take a bus on route 30 to reach Tempe destinations along University Drive, including small community parks like Mitchell Park and Jaycee Park. You can also take a bus on Rural street to head north or south of campus.
