Transportation
Four blocks from the Gilbert Road entrance to the Superstition Freeway, Superstition Villas put you in convenient range of ASU, downtown Tempe and Sky Harbor Airport. Driving the 10 miles to ASU only takes about 14 minutes when there’s light or no traffic. During morning and evening rush hours, the drive can take as long as 30 minutes. Nearby freeways offer the quickest routes to the university, especially if you take the Superstition Freeway west to northbound Loop 101. Exiting at University Drive and heading west will take you to the center of campus near ASU sites such as the Biodesign Institute and Skyspace.
Driving to the university may be convenient, but parking on campus for the year can cost hundreds of dollars. If you’d rather save the parking fees and the environment, make your way to campus on the efficient Valley Metro public transit system. You’ll more than double your commute time, but you’ll be free to read, work, relax and chat along the way. To access the best bus routes, you’ll walk about eight minutes from your apartment to the bus stop at Southern Avenue and Gilbert Road. This stop gives you access to Route 61 westbound buses, taking you past Mesa Community College and Fiesta Mall to the bus stop at Southern Avenue and Evergreen Road. There, you’ll transfer to a free neighborhood Orbit Mars bus that offers several campus stops.
