Transportation
Just four miles northeast of ASU, The Scottsdale Belle Rive apartments are nicely located near a variety of area landmarks and thoroughfares. Nearly all modes of transportation are viable options for those commuting from the apartments to the university campus. Whether you take surface roads or Pima Freeway/Loop 101 and Red Mountain Freeway/Loop 202, the drive to campus takes nine to 10 minutes.
Campus parking fees can be costly, though, and commuting to ASU by bus makes more sense. The bus ride lasts less than 30 minutes, picking you up at the westbound Route 17 bus stop at McDowell and Granite Reef roads. You’ll transfer to a southbound Route 72 bus at Scottsdale and McDowell roads to access various points on campus. The first university-area stop is near Packard Baseball Stadium. From there, you can catch one of the free FLASH ASU shuttles to get to other regions of campus, or you can stay on the bus. The 72 bus continues down the eastern side of campus, offering access to sites like Whiteman Tennis Center before heading west through the center of campus by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The bus then cuts north up the western side of campus, offering a stop near the northwest corner of campus and Sun Devil Stadium.
With four miles separating the apartments from the university, it’s also possible to walk or bike to campus. The walk will take a little more than an hour each way while cycling takes 25 minutes.
