Transportation
Five miles from ASU, The Waterstone Apartments are convenient to many important sites around the area. The apartments are just a half-block south of the Superstition Freeway and three blocks from the Price Freeway/Loop 101, so commuting to the university by car only requires a 16-minute drive. Morning rush hour can delay the commute a bit, increasing your drive time to as much as 26 minutes.
Riding your bicycle to campus is a nice alternative to driving your car, and it will save you hundreds of dollars in annual on-campus parking fees. The ride takes 29 to 35 minutes, depending on the route you choose and the area of campus you need. Usually, the fastest route travels north on South Dobson Road, west on Southern Avenue, northwest on Tempe Canal Trail and west on East Apache Boulevard. Apache runs along the southern area of campus and past sites such as Sun Devil Fitness Complex and Gammage Memorial Auditorium.
Riding public transportation is also a terrific option for traveling to campus, and you have several bus and light rail train options. The easiest option is to ride your bike or drive to the nearest light rail station at Sycamore and Main Street. Parking is available on site, or you can ride Bus Route 96 to get to the station. The train ride to campus is 11 to 14 minutes, stopping first near Noble Science Library and the psychology building and secondly near Wells Fargo Arena and the Plummer Aquatics Center.
