Tierra del Sol apartments in Mesa are conveniently located just south of the Superstition Freeway and a few blocks from Loop 101. With several freeways and a number of major thoroughfares nearby, getting around the region is easy. Even making the eight-mile drive to Tempe’s ASU campus is relatively simple, taking just 15 minutes on the Superstition Freeway and Loop 101.
Still, parking on campus can be frustrating and expensive. You’re often better off using public transportation to get to the university. From the apartments, the trek to campus takes 45 to 46 minutes on public transit. First, you’ll walk to the northbound Route 112 bus stop at Country Club and Juanita Avenue, then you’ll transfer to a light rail train at Country Club and Main. Your first university-area stop is near the Biodesign Institute, the psychology buildings and the Goldwater Center. The second stop is at the northwest area of campus near Wells Fargo Arena and Sun Devil Stadium.
You can also bypass the bus altogether by riding your bike or driving to the light rail station at Mesa Drive and Main Street, about four miles away. You can park there and ride the train to the campus in 22 to 25 minutes.
Biking to the university is also a good option. Your ride to the campus takes 38 to 45 minutes. There are many bike services on campus, and you can ride the free campus shuttles to more distant parts of campus once you get to the university’s closest southeastern edge.u003cliu003eu003c/liu003e
