University Park apartments are just a block-and-a-half from ASU and the light rail system, so getting around the region is very convenient. The apartments are closest to the university’s central and eastern buildings, including performing and media arts, science and technology and the Biodesign Institute. You can easily walk to campus in five minutes and hop on one of the free ASU FLASH Forward/FLASH Back shuttles that deliver you to spots around campus.
Biking to the closest areas of campus takes two or three minutes. The farthest point on campus is at the northwest corner, .9 miles from your apartment. You can bike to this area that includes Sun Devil Stadium, Brickyard Engineering and downtown Tempe in about five minutes.
Proximity to campus isn’t the only selling point for the apartments. They’re also close to the University Drive and Rural Road light rail station that takes you northwest to Phoenix, offering stops near important sites such as Sky Harbor Airport and Chase Field. The train also travels to the southeast to Mesa.
The apartments also put you mere steps from the bus stop at University Drive and Athletes Place. There, you can hop on an eastbound Route 62 bus that will take you to the many stores and restaurants at Tempe Marketplace.
At University Park, you’re across the street from Cornerstone Mall, featuring restaurants and services, including Copper Blues Tempe, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Sonoran Cycles Bike Shop and Caribou Coffee. If you enjoy recreation, you’ll appreciate the apartment complex’ proximity to many of the university’s sporting facilities such as Sun Devil Soccer Stadium, Farrington Softball Stadium and Joe Selleh Track. You’re also four blocks south of recreation on the Salt River. Entertainment is plentiful nearby, with sites like Phoenix Rock Gym and Kolby’s Corner Pocket Billiards just a block to the east of the apartments. For groceries, you have many options. Bharat Bazaar shares the block with your apartment complex, Walmart and Food City are three blocks to the south and Safeway is seven blocks south.
