University Pointe Apartments
At the University Pointe Apartments, you can live on campus without living in the dorms. Positioned just outside of the southeastern border of campus on East Lemon Street, this is one of the closest apartment complexes to Arizona State University. You can drive from the apartment complex to East Rio Salado Parkway at the northern border of campus in approximately five minutes without traffic, and you can easily cross Tempe Town Lake to explore Rio Salado Park, Rolling Hills Golf Course and the Phoenix Zoo without wasting much time.
It’s easy to get around without a personal vehicle when you live at the University Pointe Apartments. You are practically on campus the moment you step out of your door, and most of the academic buildings are located within the southern half of campus, so you’re always within walking distance of your classes. Biking around campus is just as easy.
If you want to wander to the northern half of campus to catch a show at the Wells Fargo Arena or cheer on the Sun Devils at the football stadium, track, tennis center or other ball fields, you may want to use your personal vehicle or walk to the corner of Lemon Street and McAllister Avenue to catch a Flash Forward bus heading north. You can get off at East University Drive and walk the rest of the way. You will need to go up East Veterans Way to reach the arena, football stadium and aquatic facilities. Going north on South Rural Road will take you to the Joe Selleh Track, Hobbs Varsity Golf Facility and Packard Stadium.
As you may expect of a community on the edge of a university campus, the area surrounding the University Pointe Apartments is rich with dive bars serving cheap alcohol and restaurants serving everything from healthy meals to tacos and authentic ethnic cuisines. The apartment complex is also right beside the university housing complex, so there are always other students to interact with during all hours of the day and night.
