About Villetta

Located near Dobson Road between Baseline and Southern and close to the Price Freeway/Loop 101, Villetta apartments are close to many transportation options. ASU is roughly five miles northwest of the apartments, and you can easily drive there in 12 minutes when traffic is light. It’s easiest to use surface streets to get to campus. Local roads enable you to reach campus in less than 25 minutes even during the morning rush hour.

For many commuters, public transportation is a better commute option than driving. The commute usually takes 35 to 40 minutes, and routes on local buses and light rail trains offer variety and versatility. In the morning, the fastest method is to ride a Route 96 bus to the light rail station at Sycamore and Main Street. The train ride lasts 13 to 16 minutes, stopping on the university’s east side near the psychology and interdisciplinary science and technology buildings. The train then stops on ASU’s northwest side, convenient to Plummer Aquatic Complex, Brickyard Engineering and Sun Devil Stadium.

Cycling to campus can be accomplished in 27 to 30 minutes along local roads and canal trails. The region’s convenient grid-like streets make it easy for you to choose your own route based on your preference for scenery, car traffic and bike lane availability. One of the common routes, though, is along West 8th Street and Tempe Canal Trail to Apache Boulevard. Apache takes you along the southern side of campus, so you’ll have direct access to ASU sites such as Sun Devil Fitness Complex and Gammage Memorial Auditorium.

Things Nearby
Shopping centers are plentiful just to the south of Villetta apartments, including Sycamore Square, Fiesta Plaza, Fiesta Village Shopping Center and the popular Fiesta Mall. There, you’ll find stores and restaurants such as CVS, See’s Candies and Pita Jungle. Health care services are convenient, too, with Banner Desert Medical Center and Concentra Urgent Care just a couple of blocks south of the apartments. For entertainment, you have several nearby options, including National Comedy Theater and Golfland Sunsplash.
