The West Sixth apartments are cradled between West 6th Street and South Ash Avenue on the northwestern edge of the Arizona State University Tempe campus. You’ll find them right across the street from the Centerpoint building, which now houses the tutoring center for the School of Engineering. It’s also located two blocks west of the Brickyard Engineering building and popular Decision Theater. It takes about five minutes to walk from the West Sixth apartments to University Drive, which will lead you to all buildings throughout campus.


West 6th Street apartments are convenient for students because they eliminate the need to own a personal vehicle. You can easily walk or bike your way around campus, and you’re close to multiple public bus routes and a light right station if you want explore surrounding areas of Tempe.

Valley Metro bus route 30 provides transportation for destinations along University Drive, and routes 65 and 66 provide transportation to destinations along Mill Avenue. Most streets in the area have a dedicated bus route, so it’s possible to go almost anywhere in Tempe by connecting buses. This includes trips to the Phoenix Zoo and the parks located north of Tempe Town Lake.

The nearest light rail station is close to University Drive and Mill Avenue and offers fast transportation to points northwest and southeast of campus. It’s the fastest way to get to the many restaurants, bars, sports pubs, cafes and shopping centers located outside of campus.

Within 20 minutes, you can walk from the West Sixth apartments to the Tempe Center for the Arts, which is positioned on the shoreline of Tempe Town Lake. Tempe Beach Park is approximately a 10-minute walk away, and you can take a northbound bus on Hardy to get there even faster. This area offers paved walking trails along the water and often features outdoor musical entertainment. Mitchell Park and Jaycee Park are also within walking distance, and you may never go hungry with the large number of restaurants, breweries and bars in the immediate area.
